What to Expect with Zoom! Laser Teeth Whitening
Before the Zoom! treatment is started, our dentists will usually clean and dry the enamel for the greatest outcomes. While no sedation is needed, our dentists will apply a protective shield over the gums and protective glasses over the patient’s eyes. After the teeth and gums are prepped, our dentists will put on the Philips Zoom! whitening gel that includes a pH booster and then trigger the gel with the Philips Zoom! WhiteSpeed blue LED light. The light may be adjusted to several intensity settings depending on the patient’s goals. Zoom! treatments usually takes about 45 minutes.
Zoom! Laser Teeth Whitening Treatment Aftercare
Following the Zoom! treatment, our dentists will provide each patient directions on what to anticipate after their service and tips on maintaining their new, brighter smile, such as what to avoid eating and drinking. Some patients will not require another treatment for years, however this varies based on the patient's lifestyle and habits. Some patients may purchase a Philips aftercare and maintenance kit that will include a topical gel for tooth sensitivity and home whitening treatments. However, 90% of patients do not have any sensitivity after their treatment.
